This month, we're excited to shine a spotlight on Dynamite Studios — one of Australia’s leading performing arts institutes. Known for their high-calibre training, world-class facilities, and passion for developing talent, Dynamite offers a dynamic environment for dancers, acrobats, and performers of all ages.
1. How did your club begin?
Founded in 2007, Dynamite Studios began with a simple vision: to create a space where young performers could dream big, be themselves, and receive world-class training right here on the Gold Coast.
What started as a few dance classes in a humble studio has since grown into an internationally accredited academy offering elite training across dance, musical theatre, acting, circus, and more.
Built on heart, hustle, and a deep love for the arts, Dynamite has become a home for thousands of students—empowering the next generation of artists to believe in themselves and boldly chase their dreams.
2. How many students do you currently teach?
Dynamite Studios currently teaches across a variety of programs. We cater to all age groups - from our Mini Dynamites pre-schoolers (ages 1–5), through to school-aged (5+ years) recreational and performance team students, and our full-time accredited students in our pre-professional programs.
3. What is your clubs mission statement?
Our Mission is to provide learning experiences that ignite student potential in an environment that empowers, supports, and encourages, creating life-changing opportunities for students and trainers. We aim to ensure our students have fulfilling careers in the performing arts and entertainment industries.
4. What are some objectives of your club?
Some key objectives of Dynamite Studios include:
-
Empowering young performers to build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self through performing arts.
-
Providing world-class training across dance, musical theatre, circus, acting, and acrobatics, delivered by experienced industry professionals.
-
Creating clear pathways to professional careers, whether through accredited programs, agency representation, or performance opportunities.
-
Fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels valued, inspired, and part of a community.
-
Staying at the forefront of industry standards, evolving our programs and facilities to meet the needs of modern performers.
5. What are you most proud of in your club?
We’re most proud of the culture we've built at Dynamite Studios; one that values heart, hard work, and connection. Watching students walk through our doors as beginners and leave as confident, capable artists ready for the world is incredibly fulfilling. Our legacy is built on real stories, real success, and a community that feels more like family.
6. Any goals for your club in the future?
Absolutely. We're committed to expanding our training opportunities both nationally and internationally, creating more pathways to professional careers in the performing arts. We want to continue evolving with the industry while always staying true to our core: empowering young performers to dream big, believe in themselves, and achieve their goals.
7. Why do you think your club is important to families and your community?
DSA is more than just a studio, it’s a safe space where young people grow not only as performers, but as people. Families trust us because we invest in every child’s journey, offering world-class training with heart. We’re deeply connected to our community and take pride in being a place where values, creativity, and potential are nurtured every day.
We’re incredibly grateful to the families and students who make up our DSA Fam. Their energy, trust, and passion inspire us every single day. We’re proud to lead with purpose and heart – and we’re just getting started.
8. What piece of advice would you give to a gymnast/dancer/student?
Never let fear be the reason you hold back. The best things in life happen when you take the leap - even if it’s scary. Trust the process, keep showing up, and believe in your own potential, even on the tough days.
