This month, The Gym Spot had the pleasure of chatting with one of our local studio owners, Kim from Kimnastix in Tuggerah. 🌈
Since opening its doors in 2010, Kimnastix has grown into a thriving and inclusive gymnastics community, welcoming over 850 gymnasts each week. Built on passion, resilience, and a belief that movement is for everyone, Kimnastix continues to inspire young athletes — fostering not only skill, but also confidence, belonging, and joy.
Kimnastix opened its doors in January 2010 as the realisation of a lifelong dream. In our first year, we welcomed just over 100 gymnasts — today, we proudly see more than 850 participants each week, ranging from toddlers to adults.
Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. All of our classes are designed to be inclusive, and we also offer a dedicated Inclusions Program that has seen wonderful success in supporting gymnasts to transition into our mainstream recreational programs.
Our mission is to provide a diverse range of programs that cater to all ages and abilities — which is why Kimnastix is for all of the children of the rainbow.
Our objectives are to offer diversity and pathways for growth within our programs, while also mentoring and creating employment opportunities for young people who want to give back to the sport they love.
We are incredibly proud of our staff and our mentoring program — a vital part of our day-to-day operations that often goes unnoticed but makes a significant impact on the culture and success of our club.
Our goal is to continue doing what we do best — providing quality programs, adapting when needed, and continuing to grow and evolve alongside our community.
Kimnastix offers children a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they can grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential. It’s a place where they are encouraged to dream big and believe in themselves.
Work hard, and always do the extras — that’s where real achievement lies. Believe in yourself, never compare your journey to someone else’s, and focus on being just a little better than you were yesterday.
