Get to know Fit n Fun Gymnastics Academy, a club passionate about making gymnastics accessible to all! Based in Jamisontown, NSW, Fit n Fun supports gymnasts across multiple locations, providing a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where athletes can learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace.
1. How did your club begin?
Fit n Fun Academy was created with the vision of making gymnastics and movement based activities accessible to children of all ages and abilities. We started as a mobile business, bringing high-quality equipment and expert coaching to schools, childcare centres, and community groups. Due to growing demand, we expanded into our first dedicated facility in Jamisontown, offering a wide range of programs. Bounce Gymnastics in Girraween is our second facility, allowing us to reach even more families and continue fostering a love for movement and fitness in the community.
2. How many gymnasts train at your club, and what skill levels? Do you offer programs that support children with special needs?
We train hundreds of students across various locations, ranging from toddlers in our Kindy Gym classes to advanced gymnasts in our squad and tumbling programs. Our classes cater to all skill levels, from complete beginners learning fundamental movement patterns to athletes working on high-level gymnastics, tumbling, aerial silks, and parkour skills.
And yes, we believe in inclusive movement for all children. Our coaches are experienced in adapting activities to meet different needs, and we welcome children with disabilities or additional needs in our programs. We offer tailored support to ensure that every child feels confident and successful in a safe and fun environment.
3. What is your organisations mission statement?
Our mission is to inspire confidence, resilience, and a love for movement in every child by providing a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where they can learn and grow at their own pace.
4. What are some of the objectives of your club?
To provide high-quality gymnastics, tumbling, aerial, and parkour programs for all ages and skill levels.
To foster a positive and supportive environment where children feel encouraged to take on challenges.
To promote physical literacy, strength, flexibility, and coordination through fun and engaging classes.
To create a community where children develop friendships and life skills beyond just sports.
To continue expanding and improving our facilities and programs to better serve our students.
5. What are you most proud of your club?
We are most proud of the supportive and encouraging environment we’ve built. Seeing children grow in confidence, master new skills, and develop a love for movement is incredibly rewarding. Our team of passionate coaches plays a huge role in making this possible, and we’re proud of the positive impact we have on our students and their families.
6. Are there any goals for your club in the future?
Yes! We aim to continue expanding our programs, reaching more families, and enhancing our facilities to provide even better training experiences. We also want to introduce more specialised classes, competitions, and community events to keep our students engaged and excited about their progress.

Fit n Fun Academy provides a safe, positive, and engaging space for children to be active, build confidence, and develop essential life skills. We offer a variety of programs that cater to different interests and abilities, ensuring that every child can find joy in movement. Our community-centred approach means families feel connected, supported, and involved in their child’s development.Â
8. What piece of advice would you give to a gymnast/student?
Always believe in yourself and enjoy the journey! Progress takes time, and every small improvement is a step toward your goals. Stay consistent, be patient, and remember that having fun and staying active is just as important as mastering new skills.
