Club Focus: Glitz Gymnastics Academy

The Gym Spot is so excited to feature Victoria's Glitz Gymnastics Academy as a Club Focus!

Based in Lilydale, this amazing club hosts 600 gymnasts in engaging and interactive classes to shape gymnastics skills in a fun and positive environment.

1. Tell us about your club and when it began.

Glitz Gymnastics Academy opened prior to 1990 with a few name changes & changes of
ownership.

2. Who makes up your club today ?

We have 600 gymnasts ranging from 6 months to almost 50 years old.

3. Do you offer any inclusive programs or pathways for athletes with different abilities or needs?

We are an inclusive club and are looking to expand our inclusive programs.

4. What values guide your club?

Fostering a strong club spirit and cultivating an inspiring, inclusive environment that empowers both
athletes and coaches and enriches our community.

5. What are you most proud of in your club?

This year, we are sending 10 Level 5 girls to the National Clubs Carnival on the Gold Coast.

6. Are there any goals or plans you're excited about for the future?

We are currently fundraising to send 10 Level 5 gymnasts to the National Clubs Carnival
on the Gold Coast.

7. Why do you think your club is important to families and your community?

Keeping the costs down and having qualified, experienced coaches.

8. What piece of advice would you give to a gymnast/student?

Never give up!

9. Is there anything else you'd like to share about your club?

We love our Glitz Family and making all our coaches & families feel welcome in our gym.
