From the Vault: Nelli Kim

Nelli Kim was born into a Korean and Russian-mixed family. When she was 17 years of age, she made her debut at the 1974 World Championships. This is where she was first recognised for her talent, as she finished third on the balance beam. Then, in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, Kim won three gold medals. She could also be classed as a gymnastics icon, as she also scored a perfect 10.00 on the vault and floor exercise.

It's amazing going back in time and seeing how individuals such as Nelli Kim have helped shaped the way for present and future gymnasts. It has really helped the sport flourish.
