Ambassador: Evelyn
We’re so excited to introduce our newest ambassador, 10-year-old Evelyn! From setting goals to celebrating progress, she shows exactly what it means to work hard, stay motivated and love every part of the gymnastics journey.
Q. What do you love most about your sport?
I love learning new skills and working hard. I love setting goals, [it feels] like getting to the top of a rope climb with no legs and achieving it!
Q. Where and how often do you train?
I train in Townsville mostly and do 4 days/14 hrs per week. I also train with another club on the Gold Coast multiple times a year.
Q. What are your main goals and what skills are you trying to learn currently?
At the moment, I'm working on my clear hip circle on bars and to be more confident on the beam.
Q. What is your happiest memory in gymnastics and what made it so special?
My happiest memories have been...
- Winning strength testing,
- Placing in the top 10 at states last year,
- Getting to see my friends at training, even if we aren't in the same level.
Winning strength testing was special because I worked really hard and trained at home on my days off to try and get stronger and I felt really proud!
Q. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is Ruby Pass because she is amazing and brave.
Q. What are your favourite things in life?
