Introducing Ruby, a 14-year-old dancer from the Gold Coast who’s officially joined the Gymnastics Direct Ambassador family! ✨
Q. What do you love most about your sport?
What I love most about my sport is the support and the feeling when you get a trick you’ve been working on for a long time.
Q. Where and how often did you train?
On the Gold Coast, I would train 5 days a week at Younique Dance Academy.
Q. What are your main goals?
My main goal at the moment is to get my full twist on the ground.
Q. What new skills are you trying to learn?
The new skills I am trying to learn is staying consistent with my back tucks and to keep my tricks clean.
Q. What is your happiest memory in dance and what about it made it so special?
My happiest memory is the time I got my full twist on the air track. I had been trying to get this trick for a few months now, and the support from my friends and teachers was the best part.
Q. Who is your biggest inspiration and why?
My biggest inspiration is Tamika. I've watched her for years now and every time she goes on stage, I can never take my eyes of her. She inspires me everyday and has the biggest impact on my dance.
Q. What are your favourite things in life?
My favourite things in life is trying new things, and spending time with my family!
